BRIEF
Job Description:
This position is responsible for determining the quality, condition and size of shell eggs under the provisions of a cooperative agreement with the United States Department of Agriculture.
This position also ensures that all eggs meet Federal and State standards pertaining to quality, condition and sanitation.
This is an intermittent position.
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Education and/or experience in the field of Agriculture -OR- experience inspecting agricultural commodities.
Licensing/Registration/Certification Requirements:
Possession of a license as a Federal/State Inspector of eggs and poultry products.
(This can be obtained after being hired while on probation).
Special Requirements of the position:
The successful applicant will be required to detect differences in quality, color and size of agricultural commodities, must be willing to work a rotating schedule with varying days, including holidays.
